CYC is a non-profit, ensemble in residence at Fredonia University. Established in 1988, we promote excellence in music and a new dimension of choral music education. We audition students from all over the county in grades 2-12 every spring to participate in our ten month program and have a 4 day camp in the summer. We are focused on potential, not perfection. Our goal is to bring children with a love of singing and music together to share in the beauty of creating choral music of all styles and varieties and promote a healthy outlet for expression.
One of our goals is to double our membership. These fees are necessary to purchase music, secure concert venues, attend festivals, finance our summer camp, and pay our staff and guest musicians. We are holding our third annual “Treble With a Cause” fundraising gala at 21 Brix on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 with the hopes to raise enough money to fund our summer camp and provide tuition assistance for families in need.
